And of thy sons also that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, they shall take away: and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.


And Nabuzardan the commander of the army carried away the rest of the people that remained in the city, and the fugitives that had gone over to the king of Babylon, and the remnant of the common people.


These Nabuzardan the general of the army took away, and carried them to the king of Babylon to Reblatha.


Therefore is my people led away captive, because they had not knowledge: and their nobles have perished with famine, and their multitude were dried up with thirst.


For thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will cast away far off the inhabitants of the land at this time: and I will afflict them, so that they may be found.


So I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land which you know not, nor you fathers: and there you shall serve strange gods, day and night, which shall not give you any rest.


And as the very bad figs, that cannot be eaten because they are bad: thus saith the Lord: So will I give Sedecias the king of Juda and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem that have remained in this city and that dwell in the land of Egypt.


And king Sedecias said to Jeremias: I am afraid because of the Jews that are fled over to the Chaldeans: lest I should be delivered into their hands and they should abuse me.


The word that came to Jeremias from the Lord, after that Nabuzardan the general had let him go from Rama, when he had taken him, being bound with chains, among all them that were carried away from Jerusalem and Juda, and were carried to Babylon.


And when all the captains of the army that were scattered through the countries, they and their companions, had heard that the king of Babylon had made Godolias the son of Ahicam governor of the country and that he had committed unto him men and women and children and of the poor of the land them that had not been carried away captive to Babylon:


And Nabuzardan the general took them and brought them to the king of Babylon, to Reblatha.


And the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death in Reblatha, in the land of Emath: and Juda was carried away captive out of his land.


And I will scatter you among the Gentiles: and I will draw out the sword after you. And your land shall be desert, and your cities destroyed.


And scatter you among all nations: and you shall remain a few among the nations, to which the Lord shall lead you.
