There is none that may be able to reprove both, and to put his hand between both.


Therefore will God destroy thee for ever: he will pluck thee out, and remove thee from thy dwelling place: and thy root out of the land of the living.


Behold the man that made not God his helper: But trusted in the abundance of his riches: and prevailed in his vanity.


Thy princes are faithless, companions of thieves: they all love bribes, the run after rewards. They judge not for the fatherless: and the widow's cometh not in to them.


The Lord standeth up to judge: and he standeth to judge the people.


LET the islands keep silence before me, and the nations take new strength. Let them come near, and then speak: let us come near to judgment together.


Bring your cause near, saith the Lord: bring hither, if you have any thing to allege, saith the King of Jacob.


I have blotted out thy iniquities as a cloud and thy sins as a mist: return to me, for I have redeemed thee.


He is near that justifieth me. Who will contend with me? Let us stand together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.


Let the wicked forsake his way and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord; and he will have mercy on him: and to our God, for he is bountiful to forgive.


Thus saith the Lord: What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me and have walked after vanity and are become vain?


And when the wicked turneth himself away from his wickedness, which he hath wrought, and doeth judgment and justice, he shall save his soul alive.


None of his sins, which he hath committed, shall be imputed to him: he hath done judgment and justice, he shall surely live.


Let the mountains hear the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord will enter into judgment with his people, and he will plead against Israel.


And Paul, according to his custom, went in unto them; and for three sabbath days he reasoned with them out of the scriptures:


And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus; and he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.


And as he treated of justice, and chastity, and of the judgment to come, Felix being terrified, answered: For this time, go thy way: but when I have a convenient time, I will send for thee.


Now the law entered in, that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound.


And I said to him: My Lord, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.


Now therefore stand up, that I may plead in judgment against you before the Lord, concerning all the kindness of the Lord, which he hath shewn to you, and to your fathers:
