And he turned himself away a little while, and wept: and returning he spoke to them.


And said to his brethren: My money is given me again; behold it is in the sack. And they were astonished, and troubled, and said to one another: What is this that God hath done unto us?


Their father Jacob said: You have made me to be without children: Joseph is not living, Simeon is kept in bonds, and Benjamin you will take away. All these evils are fallen upon me.


And may my almighty God make him favourable to you; and send back with you your brother, whom he keepeth, and this Benjamin. And as for me I shall be desolate without children.


And we have brought other money besides, to buy what we want: we cannot tell who put it in our bags.


But the spirit came upon Amasai the chief among thirty, and he said: We are thine, O David, and for thee, O son of Isai. Peace, Peace be to thee, and peace to thy helpers. For thy God helpeth thee. So David received them, and made them captains of the band.


And there were some of Manasses that went over to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to fight. But he did not fight with them: because the lords of the Philistines taking counsel sent him back, saying: With the danger of our heads he will return to his master Saul.


The king sent word to Reum Beelteem and Samsai the scribe, and to the rest that were in their council, inhabitants of Samaria, and to the rest beyond the river, sending greeting and peace:


Into whatsoever house you enter, first say: Peace be to this house.


Now whilst they were speaking these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them, and saith to them: Peace be to you; it is I, fear not.


Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.


Now when it was late that same day, the first of the week, and the doors were shut, where the disciples were gathered together, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them: Peace be to you.


He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.


And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said: Peace be to you.


And the old man answered him: Peace be with thee: I will furnish all things that are necessary. Only I beseech thee, stay not in the street.


And the Lord said to him: Peace be with thee. Fear not, thou shalt not die.


And you shall say: Peace be to my brethren, and to thee, and peace to thy house, and peace to all that thou hast.
