And the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him: To thy seed will I give this land. And he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.


All the land which thou seest, I will give to thee, and to thy seed for ever.


And the name of the third river is Tigris: the same passeth along by the Assyrians. And the fourth river is Euphrates.


The Lord God of heaven, who took me out of my father's house, and out of my native country, who spoke to me, and swore to me, saying: To thy seed will I give this land; he will send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take from thence a wife for my son.


And I will multiply thy seed like the stars of heaven: and I will give to thy posterity all these countries. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.


And give the blessings of Abraham to thee, and to thy seed after thee: that thou mayst possess the land of thy sojournment, which he promised to thy grandfather.


And the land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give to thee, and to thy seed after thee.


And he made them swear to him, saying: God will visit you. Carry my bones with you out of this place:


Neither is my house so great with God, that he should make with me an eternal covenant, firm in all things and assured. For he is all my salvation, and all my will: neither is there ought thereof that springeth not up.


David defeated also Adarezer the son of Rohob king of Soba, when he went to extend his dominion over the river Euphrates.


And Solomon had under him all the kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt: and they brought him presents, and served him, all the days of his life.


And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon: for he heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father. For Hiram had always been David's friend.

And he exercised authority over all the kings from the river Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.


For there have been powerful kings in Jerusalem: who hare had dominion over all the country that is beyond the river, and have received tribute, and toll, and revenues.


And thou didst find his heart faithful before thee. And thou madest a covenant with him, to give him the land of the Chanaanite, of the Hethite, and of the Amorrhite, and of the Pherezite, and of the Jebusite, and of the Gergezite, to give it to his seed. And thou hast fulfilled thy words, because thou art just.


And the water covered them that afflicted them: there was not one of them left.


And when the Lord shall have brought thee into the land of the Chanaanite, as he swore to thee and thy fathers, and shall give it thee:


And he heard their groaning: and remembered the covenant which he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.


And my angel shall go before thee, and shall bring thee in unto the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite, whom I will destroy.


And knowing their sorrow, I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians: and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, to the places of the Chanaanite, and Hethite, and Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite.


Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou sworest by thy own self, saying: I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven; and this whole land that I have spoken of I will give to you seed; and you shall possess it for ever.


Observe all things which this day I command thee. I myself will drive out before thy face the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite.


For when I shall have taken away the nations from thy face, and shall have enlarged thy borders, no man shall lie in wait against thy land when thou shalt go up and appear in the sight of the Lord thy God, thrice in a year.


And I made a covenant with them, to give them the land of Chanaan, the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers.


And brought you into the land, concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And I will give it you to possess, I am the Lord.


And it shall come to pass that in that day the Lord will strike from the channel of the river even to the torrent of Egypt: and you shall be gathered together one by one, O ye children of Israel.


Incline your ear and come to me. Hear and your soul shall live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful mercies of David.


And hast given them this land which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them a land flowing with milk and honey.


And I will make an everlasting covenant with them and will not cease to do them good: and I will give my fear in their heart, that they may not revolt from me.


And I will remember my covenant, that I made with Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham. I will remember also the land:


And I will remember my former covenant, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, in the sight of the Gentiles, to be their God. I am the Lord. These are the judgments, and precepts, and laws, which the Lord gave between him and the children of Israel, in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.


And the limits shall fetch a compass from Asemona to the torrent of Egypt, and shall end in the shore of the great sea.


And he gave him no inheritance in it; no, not the pace of a foot: but he promised to give it him in possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.


Every place, that your foot shall tread upon, shall be yours. From the desert, and from Libanus, from the great river Euphrates unto the western sea shall be your borders.


When the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders, as he hath spoken to thee, and thou wilt eat the flesh that thy soul desireth:


And when the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders, as he swore to thy fathers, and shall give thee all the land that he promised them:


And the Lord said to him: This is the land, for which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to thy seed. Thou hast seen it with thy eyes, and shalt not pass over to it.


When the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land, which thou art going in to possess, and shall have destroyed many nations before thee: the Hethite, and the Gergezite, and the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, and the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite: seven nations much more numerous than thou art, and stronger than thou:


And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament,


From the troubled river, that watereth Egypt, unto the borders of Accaron northward: the land of Chanaan, which is divided among the lords of the Philistines, the Gazites, the Azotians, the Ascalonites, the Gethites, and the Accronites.


And from thence passing along into Asemona, and reaching the torrent of Egypt. And the bounds thereof shall be the great sea. This shall be the limit of the south coast.


Saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet: Loose the four angels, who are bound in the great river Euphrates.
