So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Asaph and his brethren to minister in the presence of the ark continually day by day, and in their courses.


Besides the males from three years old and upward: to all that went into the temple of the Lord, and whatsoever there was need of in the ministry, and their offices according to their courses, day by day.


And the feast of the harvest of the first-fruits of thy work, whatsoever thou hast sown in the field. The feast also in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in all thy corn out of the field.


This is what thou shalt sacrifice upon the altar: Two lambs of a year old, every day continually.


And the overseers of the works pressed them, saying: Fulfill your work every day as before you were wont to do when straw was given you.


And for his diet a continual provision was allowed him by the king of Babylon, every day a portion, until the day of his death, all the days of his life.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


These things shall you offer to the Lord in your solemnities: besides your vows and voluntary oblations for holocaust, for sacrifice, for libation, and for victims of peace-offerings.


Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand.


And on the last, and great day of the festivity, Jesus stood and cried, saying: If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink.
