His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace. He shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom: to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice, from henceforth and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.


And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them.


And Jesus said to the chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and the ancients, that were come unto him: Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs?


The Pharisees therefore said among themselves: Do you see that we prevail nothing? behold, the whole world is gone after him.


And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this?


AND as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,


But they threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.


Saying: The prison indeed we found shut with all diligence, and the keepers standing before the doors; but opening it, we found no man within.


But one came and told them: Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple standing, and teaching the people.


Then went the officer with the ministers, and brought them without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
