And the dogs shall eat Jezabel in the field of Jezrahel: and there shall be no one to bury her. And he opened the door and fled.


And when he was come in, to eat, and to drink, he said: Go, and see after that cursed woman, and bury her; because she is a king's daughter.


And coming back they told him. And Jehu said: It is the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servant Elias the Thesbite, saying: In the field of Jezrahel the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezabel;


Is not destruction to the wicked, and aversion to them that work iniquity?


If a man beget a hundred children, and live many years, and attain to a great age, and his soul make no use of the goods of his substance, and he be without burial: of this man I pronounce, that the untimely born is better than he.


He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, rotten and cast forth without the gates of Jerusalem.


Therefore thus saith the Lord against Joakim the king of Juda: He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out to the heat by day and to the frost by night.


And forthwith an angel of the Lord struck him, because he had not given the honour to God: and being eaten up by worms, he gave up the ghost.
