When the ways of man shall please the Lord, he will convert even his enemies to peace.


As the divisions of waters, so the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord: whithersoever he will he shall turn it.


And if thy brother be not nigh, or thou know him not: thou shalt bring them to thy house, and they shall be with thee until thy brother seek them, and receive them.


And he answered them: Because Israel took away my land when he came up out of Egypt, from the confines of the Arnon unto the Jaboc and the Jordan. Now therefore restore the same peaceably to me.
