And Amasias said to the man of God: What will then become of the hundred talents which I have given to the soldiers of Israel? And the man of God answered him: The Lord is rich enough to be able to give thee much more than this.


Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.


The blessing of the Lord maketh men rich: neither shall affliction be joined to them.


Some distribute their own goods, and grow richer: others take away what is not their own, and are always in want.


He that giveth to the poor, shall not want: he that despiseth his entreaty, shall suffer indigence.


Honour the Lord with thy substance, and give him of the first of all thy fruits:


And I will move all nations: AND THE DESIRED OF ALL NATIONS SHALL COME: and I will fill this house with glory: saith the Lord of hosts.


Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and try me in this, saith the Lord: if I open not unto you the flood-gates of heaven, and pour you out a blessing even to abundance.


And in Joppe there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.


Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.


Do you seek a proof of Christ that speaketh in me, who towards you is not weak, but is mighty in you?


And not that only, but he was also ordained by the churches companion of our travels, for this grace, which is administered by us, to the glory of the Lord, and our determined will:


That in much experience of tribulation, they have had abundance of joy; and their very deep poverty hath abounded unto the riches of their simplicity.


That as in all things you abound in faith, and word, and knowledge, and all carefulness; moreover also in your charity towards us, so in this grace also you may abound.


That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity, which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.


For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them.


Now to him who is able to do all things more abundantly than we desire or understand, according to the power that worketh in us;


I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith.


That you may walk worthy of God, in all things pleasing; being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God:


If any man therefore shall cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and profitable to the Lord, prepared unto every good work.


That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.


Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.


And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
