All my enemies whispered together against me: they devised evils to me.


For thou art God my strength: why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?


Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.


And the Lord said to Moses: Come up to me into the mount, and be there. And I will give thee tables of stone, and the law, and the commandments which I have written: that thou mayst teach them.


And the Lord, when he had ended these words in mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.


And Moses returned from the mount, carrying the two tables of the testimony in his hand, written on both sides,


And after this he said: Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the former: and I will write upon them the words which were in the tables, which thou brokest.


Let not mercy and truth leave thee, put them about thy neck, and write them in the tables of thy heart:


Bind it upon thy fingers, write it upon the tables of thy heart.


But the Lord is the true God: he is the living God and the everlasting king. At his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his threatening.


The sin of Juda is written with a pen of iron, with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, upon the horns of their altars.


But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my law in their bowels and I will write it in their heart: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.


And I will give them one heart and will put a new spirit in their bowels: and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh:


Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.


The ministers of him whom you have believed; and to every one as the Lord hath given.


Who also hath made us fit ministers of the new testament, not in the letter, but in the spirit. For the letter killeth, but the spirit quickeneth.


Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious; so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance, which is made void:


And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God saith: I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.


For they themselves relate of us, what manner of entering in we had unto you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God.


And this is the testament which I will make unto them after those days, saith the Lord. I will give my laws in their hearts, and on their minds will I write them:


For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind, and in their heart will I write them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:


How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?


And again he said: By this you shall know that the Lord the living God is in the midst of you, and that he shall destroy before your sight the Chanaanite and the Hethite, the Hevite and the Pherezite, the Gergesite also and the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite.


Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write: These things saith he, who holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks:


And to the angel of the church of Pergamus write: These things, saith he, that hath the sharp two edged sword:


And to the angel of the church of Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like to a flame of fire, and his feet like to fine brass.


And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write: These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead, and is alive:


And to the angel of the church of Sardis, write: These things saith he, that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast the name of being alive: and thou art dead.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying: What shall be given to the man that shall kill this Philistine, and shall take away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
