And it came to pass after this, that David defeated the Philistines, and humbled them, and took away Geth, and her daughters out of the hands of the Philistines,


A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.


But it hath very strong inhabitants: and the cities are great and walled. We saw there the race of Enac.


Thou shalt consume all the people, which the Lord thy God will deliver to thee. Thy eye shall not spare them: neither shalt thou serve their gods, lest they be thy ruin.


And the Lord thy God shall have delivered them to thee: thou shalt utterly destroy them. Thou shalt make no league with them, nor shew mercy to them.


So the five kings of the Amorrhites being assembled together went up: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jerimoth, the king of Lachis, the king of Eglon: they and their armies, and camped about Gabaon, laying siege to it.


And it reacheth northward to a part of Accaron at the side: and bendeth to Sechrona, and passeth mount Baala: and cometh into Jebneel, and is bounded westward with the great sea.


But Sisara fleeing came to the tent of Jahel the wife of Haber the Cinite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Asor, and the house of Haber the Cinite.
