Far be it from thee to do this thing, and to slay the just with the wicked, and for the just to be in like case as the wicked. This is not beseeming thee, thou who judgest all the earth, wilt not make this judgment.


Be of good courage, and let us fight for our people, and for the city of our God: and the Lord will do what is good in his sight.


But if he shall say to me: Thou pleasest me not: I am ready. Let him do that which is good before him.


Ezechias said to Isaias: The word of the Lord, which thou hast spoken, is good. Let peace and truth be in my days.


Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves manfully for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the Lord will do that which is good in his sight.


And said: Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. As it hath pleased the Lord so is it done. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

And when the Lord was come down in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord.

And Jeremias the prophet spoke all these words to Sedecias the king of Juda in Jerusalem.


And king Sedecias sent and took Jeremias the prophet to him to the third gate that was in the house of the Lord. And the king said to Jeremias: I will ask thee a thing. Hide nothing from me.


And Jeremias the prophet said to them: I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your words: and whatsoever thing he shall answer me, I will declare it to you, and I will hide nothing from you.


Mem. Why hath a living man murmured, man suffering for his sins?


And Moses said to Aaron: This is what the Lord hath spoken. I will be sanctified in them that approach to me: and I will be glorified in the sight of all the people. And when Aaron heard this, he held his peace.


Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation:


And the children of Israel said to the Lord: We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever pleaseth thee: Only deliver us this time.
