Even as the Son of man is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.


And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.


For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.


Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season.


And in like manner he that had received the two, gained other two.


Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?


For the Son of man also is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.


And the Lord said: Who (thinkest thou) is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord setteth over his family, to give them their measure of wheat in due season?


And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds, and said to them: Trade till I come.


And Joanna the wife of Chusa, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who ministered unto him of their substance.


But now I shall go to Jerusalem, to minister unto the saints.


For it hath pleased them; and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they ought also in carnal things to minister to them.


But by the grace of God, I am what I am; and his grace in me hath not been void, but I have laboured more abundantly than all they: yet not I, but the grace of God with me.


According to the grace of God that is given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.


For who distinguisheth thee? Or what hast thou that thou hast not received? And if thou hast received, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?


And we helping do exhort you, that you receive not the grace of God in vain.


For concerning the ministry that is done towards the saints, it is superfluous for me to write unto you.


To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ,


And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors,


The Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou very well knowest.


For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre:


For God is not unjust, that he should forget your work, and the love which you have shewn in his name, you who have ministered, and do minister to the saints.


But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.


By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.
