And these are his generations. Joseph, when he was sixteen years old, was pasturing the flock with his brothers, when he was still a boy. And he was with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, the wives of his father. And he accused his brothers to their father of a most sinful crime.


And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat: "One man remains, by whom we may be able to inquire of the Lord: Micaiah, the son of Imlah. But I hate him. For he does not prophecy good to me, but evil." And Jehoshaphat said, "You should not speak in this way, O king."


And after he spoke these things, he responded to him: "Are you the counselor of the king? Be quiet! Otherwise I will put you to death." And departing, the prophet said, "I know that God has decided to kill you, because you have done this evil, and also because you have not agreed to my counsel."


Better is the poor who walks in his simplicity, than the rich who twists his lips and is unwise.


Better is the pauper walking in his simplicity, than the rich walking in ways of depravity.


And if a man can prevail against one, two may withstand him, and a threefold cord is broken with difficulty.


It is good for you to support a just man. Furthermore, you should not withdraw your hand from him, for whoever fears God, neglects nothing.
