Whoever flees from the terror will fall into the pit. And whoever climbs out of the pit will be seized by the snare. For I will lead over Moab the year of their visitation, says the Lord.


Because of this, I have cut them with the prophets, I have slain them with the words of my mouth; and your opinions will depart like the light.


For when they will say, "Peace and security!" then destruction will suddenly overwhelm them, like the labor pains of a woman with child, and they will not escape.

Therefore, Samuel turned again after Saul. And Saul adored the Lord.


And Samuel said, "Just as your sword caused women to be without their children, so will your mother be without her children among women." And Samuel cut him into pieces, before the Lord at Gilgal.
