7 But knowledge is not in everyone. For some persons, even now, with consent to an idol, eat what has been sacrificed to an idol. And their conscience, being infirm, becomes polluted.

but instead that we write to them, that they should keep themselves from the defilement of idols, and from fornication, and from whatever has been suffocated, and from blood.


I know, with confidence in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in and of itself. But to him who considers anything to be unclean, it is unclean to him.


But I am also certain about you, my brothers, that you also have been filled with love, completed with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.


Whatever is sold in the market, you may eat, without asking questions for the sake of conscience.


Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity builds up.


But as to the foods that are immolated to idols, we know that an idol in the world is nothing, and that no one is God, except One.


And we ask you, brothers: correct the disruptive, console the weak-minded, support the sick, be patient with everyone.
