He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.
saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; And seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
