So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high, the sound was heard afar off. So that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say: Give glory to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever, the house of God was filled with a cloud.


And they sacrificed on that day great sacrifices, and they rejoiced: for God had made them joyful with great joy. Their wives also and their children rejoiced; and the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off.


The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,


So Mary the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand: and all the women went forth after her with timbrels and with dances:


And when they had said an hymn, they went forth to the mount of Olives.


Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord;


Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly, in all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing in grace in your hearts to God.


Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is he cheerful in mind? Let him sing.
