A Psalm of David, when his son Absalom was pursuing him. O Lord, hear my prayer. Incline your ear to my supplication in your truth. Heed me according to your justice.

And he said to Saul: "Why do you listen to the words of men who say: 'David seeks evil against you?'
And he said to David: "You are more just than I am. For you have distributed good to me, but I have repaid evil to you.
And the Lord will repay each one according to his justice and faith. For the Lord has delivered you this day into my hand, but I was not willing to extend my hand against the Christ of the Lord.
