Mark 4:39
21 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

God stilled the storm, calmed the waves, and he hushed the hurricane winds to only a whisper.

Lightning, hail, snow, clouds, and the stormy winds that fulfill his word—

Above the furious flood, the Enthroned One reigns, the King-God rules with eternity at his side.

You muzzle the roar of the mighty seas and the rage of mobs with their noisy riots.

You rule over oceans and the swelling seas. When their stormy waves rise, you speak, and they lie still.

When he set in place the pillars of the earth and spoke the decrees of the seas, commanding the waves so that they wouldn’t overstep their boundaries,

I, Yahweh, am speaking to you. Do you not fear? Do you not tremble in awe in my presence? I made the sand as a border for the sea, an ancient barrier that it does not pass. Though the waves roar and beat against it, they can neither go beyond it nor break through it.

For the Lord will not reject you forever.

But Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you gripped with fear? Where is your faith?” Then he stood and rebuked the storm, saying, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm.

But Jesus was calmly sleeping in the stern, resting on a cushion.

Now when Jesus saw that the crowd was quickly growing larger, he commanded the demon, saying, “Deaf and mute spirit, I command you to come out of him and never enter him again!”

Immediately the demon hurled the man down on the floor in front of them. But Jesus rebuked the demon, “Be quiet and come out of him!” And without causing him any harm, the demon came out of him.

Jesus stood over her and rebuked the fever, and she was healed instantly. Then she got up and began to serve them.

Alarmed, the disciples woke Jesus up and said, “Master, Master, we’re sinking! Don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” With great authority Jesus rebuked the howling wind and surging waves, and instantly they became calm.
