Zephaniah 2:7 - Y'all Version Bible

7 The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for YHWH, their God, will visit them and restore them.

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am dying, but God will visit-visit y’all, and bring y’all up out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”


Turn again, we beg you, God of Armies. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,


YHWH, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob.


The people believed, and when they heard that YHWH had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.


It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.


They will fly down on the shoulders of the Philistines on the west. Together they will plunder the children of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon will obey them.


There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, like there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.


For YHWH will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Jacob.


For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks,


“I will gather the remnant of my flock from all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds, and they will be fruitful and multiply.


For YHWH says, “After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit y’all and fulfill my good word toward y’all, to return y’all to this place.


I will be found by y’all,” says YHWH, “and I will reverse your* captivity, and I will gather y’all from all the nations and places where I have driven y’all, says YHWH. I will bring y’all again to the place from where I caused y’all to be carried away into exile.”


In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave as an inheritance to y’all’s ancestors.


For look, the days are coming,’ says YHWH, ‘that I will reverse the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,’ says YHWH. ‘I will return them to the land that I gave to their ancestors, and they will possess it.’”


For YHWH says, “Y’all sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations. Y’all proclaim, praise, and say, ‘YHWH, save your people, the remnant of Israel!’


People will buy fields for money, sign the deeds, seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed,” says YHWH.


YHWH Almighty says: “Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without human and animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.


I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.


Baldness has come on Gaza; Ashkelon is brought to nothing. You remnant of their valley, how long will you cut yourself?


“Therefore Lord YHWH says: ‘Now I will reverse the captivity of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel. I will be jealous for my holy name.


“Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.


Those of the South will possess the mountain of Esau, and those of the lowland, the Philistines. They will possess the field of Ephraim, and the field of Samaria. Benjamin will possess Gilead.


I will assemble-assemble all of you, Jacob. I will gather-gather the remnant of Israel. I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the middle of their pasture. They will swarm with people.


Be in pain, and labor to give birth, daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you will go out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Babylon. There you will be rescued. There YHWH will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.


and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and YHWH will reign over them on Mount Zion from then on, even forever.”


Therefore, as I live, says YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.


The remnant of Israel will not do iniquity nor speak lies, neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid.”


At that time I will bring y’all in, and at that time I will gather y’all; for I will give y’all honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore y’all’s fortunes before y’all’s eyes, says YHWH.


Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed YHWH their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as YHWH their God had sent him; and the people feared YHWH.


“Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,


“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for ʜᴇ has visited and redeemed ʜɪꜱ people.


Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has come to help his people!”


An angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza” (This is a desert road).


Philip appeared at Azotus and traveled through, preaching the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.


So too, at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.


Then she arose to return from the country of Moab with her daughters-in-law, because she heard that YHWH had attended to ʜɪꜱ people by providing them food.
