to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the mortal human of the earth may terrorize them no more.


YHWH executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed.


“Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says YHWH. “I will provide the safety they desire.”


Hᴇ gives food to every creature, for ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness endures forever.


Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.


All my bones will say, “YHWH, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”


God sets the lonely in families. Hᴇ brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.


God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness. Selah.


He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.


YHWH has made ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ known. Hᴇ has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of ʜɪꜱ own hands. Meditation. Selah.


The Spirit of Lord YHWH is on me, because YHWH has anointed me to bring good news to the humble. He has sent me to bandage the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners,


For you have broken the yoke of his burden, the staff of his shoulder, and the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.


I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness,” says YHWH.


I will come near to y’all for judgment. I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, adulterers, perjurers, and those who exploit laborers, widows, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me,” says YHWH Almighty.


Hᴇ has filled the hungry with good things, and has sent the rich away empty.


“The Spirit of the Lord [YHWH] is on me, because ʜᴇ has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. Hᴇ has sent me to proclaim freedom for the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,


They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.


Suddenly there was such a massive earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. Immediately, all the doors flew open, and everyone’s bonds came loose.


But an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison during the night, brought them out, and said,
