Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain?


My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”


because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring suffering on me. In anger they hold a grudge against me.


Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.


I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.


With which your enemies have mocked, YHWH, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.


Y’all will leave your* name to be used as a curse for my chosen, and Lord YHWH will kill you. Hᴇ will call ʜɪꜱ servants by another name.


Because of them, all the captives of Judah who are in Babylon will take up a curse, saying, ‘YHWH make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire!’
