Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from him a straight way for us, for our little ones, and for all our possessions.


But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.


Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to YHWH?


“This is to be a permanent statute for y’all: on the tenth day of the seventh month, y’all are to humble your* souls and do no kind of work, both the native-born or a foreigner who resides among y’all;


“However the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement. It is to be a holy assembly for y’all. Y’all are to humble yourselves* and present a food offering to YHWH.


It will be a Sabbath of solemn rest for y’all, and y’all are to humble yourselves*. In the ninth day of the month, from evening to evening, y’all are to observe y’all’s Sabbath.”


“‘On the tenth day of this seventh month y’all are to have a holy convocation. Y’all must humble y’all’s souls. Y’all must not do any kind of work.


But if her husband nulls-nulls them on the day he heard them, then whatever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, will not stand. Her husband has nulled them. YHWH will forgive her.


But if her husband is silent-silent to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges which are on her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her on the day he heard them.


But I want y’all to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.


for man wasn’t created through woman, but woman through the man.


Y’all must not deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, so that y’all may devote yourselves* to prayer. Then y’all must come together again, so that Satan doesn’t tempt y’all through your* lack of self-control.
