“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he must make restitution from the best of his own field and from the best of his own vineyard.


“For six years you are to sow your land and gather in its produce,


but the seventh year you must let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the animal of the field may eat. You are to do the same with your vineyard and with your olive grove.


I have said that I will bring y’all up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’


I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.


But I have said to y’all, “Y’all will inherit their land, and I will give it to y’all to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am YHWH y’all’s God, who has set y’all apart from the peoples.


They told him, and said, “We came to the land where you sent us. Surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.


If YHWH delights in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us: a land which flows with milk and honey.


Why have y’all led us out of Egypt and brought us to this evil place? This place has no seed, or figs, or vines, or pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.”
