“Blessed be YHWH, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. There has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant.


to fulfill the word of YHWH by Jeremiah’s mouth, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate, it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.


For ʜᴇ remembered ʜɪꜱ holy word, with Abraham, his servant.


For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.


Has ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness vanished forever? Does ʜɪꜱ promise fail for generations?


Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “They are a people who err in their heart. They have not known my ways.”


They will bear their punishment. The punishment of the prophet will be even as the punishment of the one who seeks him,


“Therefore Lord YHWH says: ‘Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.’”


For I have assigned to you a number of days according to the years of their iniquity. For 390 days, you will bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.


“When you have completed these days, you are to lie down a second time on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have assigned 40 days to you, a day for each year.


“Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.


Though they raise their children, I will bereave them, until no one is left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!


“‘You must not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, nor of your father’s sister, for he has made his close relative naked. They will bear their iniquity.


I took my staff Favor and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.


They returned from spying out the land at the end of forty days.


But the Levites are to do the service of the Tent of Meeting, and they will bear their iniquity. It is to be a permanent statute throughout y’all’s generations. Among the children of Israel, they will have no inheritance.


YHWH’s anger burned against Israel, and he made them wander back and forth in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation who had done evil in YHWH’s sight was consumed.


For a period of about forty years he endured their habits in the wilderness,


For YHWH your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has known your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years, YHWH your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.


Therefore, let us be careful that, while a promise of entering into his rest remains, none of y’all should seem to have fallen short of it.


“So now look, YHWH has kept me alive, as he spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that YHWH spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. Here I am, eighty-five years old today.


I will give to my two witnesses to prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”


“Therefore YHWH, the God of Israel, says, ‘I said-said that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now YHWH says, ‘Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.
