Numbers 11:18 - Y'all Version Bible

18 “You are to say to the people, ‘Y’all must sanctify yourselves* in preparation for tomorrow, and y’all will eat meat. For y’all have wept in the ears of YHWH, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For we were better off in Egypt.” Therefore YHWH will give y’all meat, and y’all will eat.

Then Jacob said to his household, and to all who were with him, “Y’all put away the foreign gods that are among y’all, purify yourselves*, and change y’all’s garments.


though he spare it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth,


When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.


Yes, ʜᴇ struck the rock, and waters gushed out, and streams overflowed. But can ʜᴇ also give bread? Will ʜᴇ provide meat for ʜɪꜱ people?”


Moses said, “Now YHWH will give y’all meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy y’all in the morning, because YHWH hears y’all’s grumbling which y’all grumble against ʜɪᴍ. And who are we? Y’all’s grumblings are not against us, but against YHWH.”


YHWH said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,


He said to the people, “Y’all be ready for the third day. Y’all must not have sexual relations with a woman.”


Let the priests also, who come near to YHWH, sanctify themselves, lest YHWH break out on them.”


The people were complaining in the ears of YHWH and when YHWH heard it, ʜɪꜱ anger burned. Then fire from YHWH burned among them, and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.


Y’all will not eat just one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days,


“But our ancestors were unwilling to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,


You must get up and consecrate the people. Say, ‘Y’all must consecrate yourselves* for tomorrow, for YHWH, the God of Israel, says, “There are devoted things among y’all, Israel. Y’all cannot stand before y’all’s enemies until y’all have removed the devoted thing from among y’all.”


The people came to Bethel and sat there until evening before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept severely.
