Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.


The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at ʜɪꜱ rebuke.


Hᴇ removes the mountains without their knowing it, when ʜᴇ overturns them in ʜɪꜱ anger.


Hᴇ looks at the earth, and it trembles. Hᴇ touches the mountains, and they smoke.


The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.


Mountains, that y’all skipped like rams? Little hills, like lambs?


Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled and were shaken, because ʜᴇ burned with anger.


Smoke ascended from ʜɪꜱ nostrils. A devouring fire came from ʜɪꜱ mouth, and coals were kindled by it.


The nations rage. The kingdoms are toppled. Hᴇ lifted ʜɪꜱ voice and the earth melted.


The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai— at the presence of God, the God of Israel.


Let the sea and all that fills it roar, with the world and those who dwell therein.


All of Mount Sinai smoked, because YHWH descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.


Look, YHWH makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.


The earth will stagger-stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.


Therefore YHWH’s anger burns against ʜɪꜱ people, and ʜᴇ has stretched out ʜɪꜱ hand against them and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the middle of the streets. For all this, ʜɪꜱ anger is not turned away, but ʜɪꜱ hand is still stretched out.


But YHWH is the true God. Hᴇ is the living God, and an everlasting King. At ʜɪꜱ wrath, the earth trembles. The nations cannot endure ʜɪꜱ fury.


I looked at the mountains, and they trembled; and all the hills moved back and forth.


so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, all creeping things who creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the surface of the earth will shake at my presence. Then the mountains will be thrown down, the steep places will fall, and every wall will fall to the ground.


The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.


For the Lord, YHWH Almighty, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.


The mountains melt under ʜɪᴍ, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.


The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high.


Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. Then he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”


“For indeed, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says YHWH Almighty, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.


Suddenly, the temple veil was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.


Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.


Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. The earth and the heaven fled from his face, no place was found for them.


The sky was torn apart like a scroll being rolled up. Every mountain and island was moved from of its place.


The mountains quaked at presence of YHWH, even Sinai at the presence of YHWH, the God of Israel.
