They are to give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel for an offering to YHWH.


“‘If his offering to YHWH is a burnt offering of birds, then he is to present his offering from turtledoves or of young pigeons.


“‘When the days of her purification are completed for a son or for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove, for a sin offering.


If she cannot afford a lamb, then she is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons: the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering. the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”


and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one will be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.


He must offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, which ever he is able to afford,


“‘On the eighth day he is to take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before YHWH to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest.


On the eighth day she is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.


“‘But if he can’t afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he is to bring as his offering for that in which he has sinned, one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He must not put oil on it, and he must not put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.


“‘If someone can’t afford a lamb, then they are to bring their trespass offering for their sin, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to YHWH; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.


Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.


and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”


When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
