When words increase emptiness increases. What does that profit humanity?


but the anxieties of this age, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.


As they went on their way, Jesus came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.


But Martha was distracted with many deacon-works. She approached him and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? You tell her to help me.”


Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell y’all, don’t be worry about y’all’s life, as to what y’all will eat, or about your* body, as what y’all will wear.


“But y’all be careful, or y’all’s hearts will be weighed down with intoxication, drunkenness, and the worries of this life, and that day will come down on y’all unexpectedly like a trap.


The seed that fell among the thorns are those who have heard, but as they go on their way, they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, so they bring no fruit to maturity.


Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha.


Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.


So they made him a supper there. Martha served, but Lazarus was among those who dined at the table with him.


Y’all, don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your* requests be made known to God.
