Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.


He said, “Now take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.”


Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together.


Then Noah built an altar to YHWH, and took some of every clean animal and every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.


The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to YHWH.


They removed the burnt offerings, that they might give them according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of the children of the people, to offer to YHWH, as it is written in the book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle.


Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.


I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.”


Y’all’s lamb must be without defect, a male a year old. Y’all are to take it from the sheep or from the goats.


He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to YHWH.


You are to burn the whole ram on the altar: it is a burnt offering to YHWH; it is a pleasant aroma, a food offering for YHWH.


You are to bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.


It is to be a continual burnt offering throughout y’all’s generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before YHWH, where I will meet with y’all, to speak there to y’all.


They rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

They received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, with which to make it. They kept bringing free will offerings to him every morning.


He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. It was square. Its length was five cubits, its width was five cubits, and its height was three cubits.


“What are y’all’s abundant sacrifices to me?”, says YHWH. “I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed animals. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.


For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel,” says Lord YHWH, “there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve me in the land. There I will accept them, and there I will require y’all’s offerings and the first fruits of y’all’s offerings, with all your* holy things.


In the porch of the gate were two tables on this side and two tables on that side, on which to kill the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering.


“‘If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he is to offer a male without defect.


“On the eighth day he must take two male lambs without defect, one ewe lamb a year old without defect, three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.


He is to take the two goats and set them before YHWH at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.


and hasn’t brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to YHWH before YHWH’s tabernacle: blood must be imputed to that man. He has shed blood and must be cut off from among his people.


“You are to say to them, ‘Anyone from the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,


and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to YHWH, that person must be cut off from their people.


On the day when y’all wave the sheaf, y’all are to offer a male lamb without defect a year old for a burnt offering to YHWH.


Along with the bread, y’all are to present seven unblemished year-old lambs, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to YHWH, together with their grain offering and their drink offerings, a food offering made of a sweet aroma to YHWH.


“‘If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he is to offer it without defect before YHWH.


The elders of the congregation are to lay their hands on the head of the bull before YHWH; and the bull will be killed before YHWH.


if his sin in which he has sinned is made known to him, he is to bring as his offering a goat, a male without defect.


if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without defect to YHWH for a sin offering.


“‘If he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he must bring a female without defect.


“If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly regarding YHWH’s holy things, then he is to bring his trespass offering to YHWH: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.


He is to bring a ram without defect from of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest; and the priest is to make atonement for him concerning the thing in which he sinned and didn’t know it, and he will be forgiven.


“If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against YHWH, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,


“‘But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow, or a free will offering, it is to be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice. On the next day what remains of it may be eaten,


He presented the ram of the burnt offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.


He washed the innards and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was a food offering for YHWH, as YHWH commanded Moses.


and he said to Aaron, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without defect, and offer them before YHWH.


“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says YHWH Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.


“Cursed is the deceiver who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great King,” says YHWH Almighty, “and my name is awesome among the nations.”


and y’all will make a food offering to YHWH of the herd, or of the flock—a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or as a free will offering, or at y’all’s appointed feasts, to make a pleasant aroma to YHWH—


When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to YHWH,


“This is the statute of the law which YHWH has commanded. Tell the children of Israel to bring you a red heifer without spot or defect and which was never yoked.


God is not a human, that he should lie, nor a son of a human, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?


Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”


Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps YHWH will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.


Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.


“‘At the beginning of every month, y’all are to present a burnt offering to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect,


Y’all are to present an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, without defect.


Besides the continual burnt offering and its meal offering, y’all are to offer them and their drink offerings. They are to be without defect.


Y’all are to present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to YHWH: thirteen young bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect;


Y’all are to present a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma to YHWH: one young bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect;


The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the one who is to be born will be holy and will be called the Son of God.

So Jesus said told again, “Very truly, I tell y’all, I am the door for the sheep.


I am the door. Anyone who enters through me will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.


For if the willingness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.


Each person should give according to what they have determined in their heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver.


For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.


that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.


You are to offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on YHWH your God’s altar. The blood of your sacrifices will be poured out on YHWH your God’s altar, and you may eat the meat.


If it has any defect—is lame or blind, or has any defect—you must not sacrifice it to YHWH your God.


You must not sacrifice to YHWH your God an ox or a sheep in which is a defect or anything evil; for that is an abomination to YHWH your God.


For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?
