On the wicked ʜᴇ will rain burning coals and brimstone, a scorching wind will be the portion in their cup.


I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.


At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A hot wind blows from the bare heights in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow, nor to cleanse.


Look! He will advances like the clouds, and his chariots will be as the whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us! For we are ruined.


YHWH says: “I am about to raise up against Babylon, and against those who dwell in Lebkamai, a destroying wind.


therefore Lord YHWH says: ‘Look, I myself am against you. And I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.


Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of YHWH coming up from the wilderness; and his spring will become dry, and his fountain will be dried up. He will plunder the storehouse of treasure.


Then they sweep by like the wind and go on. They are indeed guilty, whose strength is their god.”
