Now look! I am releasing you today from the chains on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will take care of you. Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, came into Jerusalem.


He ordered the centurion to guard Paul but give him some freedom and not prevent any of his friends from meeting his needs.
