Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I observe your word.


It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes.


The word of YHWH came to me, saying,


For I know the plans I have for y’all,” declares YHWH, “plans for prosperity not disaster, to give y’all hope and a future.


Therefore, y’all must listen to the word of YHWH, all captives whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.


YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all the captives whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:


“Therefore you are to say, ‘Lord YHWH says: “I will gather y’all from the peoples, and assemble y’all from the countries where y’all have been scattered, and I will give y’all the land of Israel.”


so that they will follow my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.


Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am YHWH their God.


YHWH is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and ʜᴇ knows those who take refuge in ʜɪᴍ.


I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them like silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ and they will say, ‘YHWH is my God.’”


But he answered, ‘Truly I tell y’all, I don’t know y’all.’


My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.


We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to ʜɪꜱ purpose.


But anyone who loves God is known by him.


But now that y’all have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do y’all turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles? Do y’all want to be in bondage all over again?


and fed you in the wilderness with manna, that your ancestors did not know to might humble you and test you and to do you good for you in the end.


Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, having this inscription: “The Lord [YHWH] knows those who are ʜɪꜱ ,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from injustice.”


All those I love, I rebuke and chasten. So be zealous and repent.
