Now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. See, my angel will go before you. Nevertheless, on the day when I punish, I will punish them for their sin.”


For the shepherds have become brutish, and have not inquired of YHWH. Therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks have scattered.


therefore YHWH Almighty says, ‘See! I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword. Their sons and their daughters will die by famine.


But if y’all won’t listen, my soul will weep in secret for your pride. My eye will weep-and-weep, and overflow with tears, because YHWH’s flock has been taken captive.


Lift up y’all’s eyes, and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, your beautiful flock?


What will you say when ʜᴇ appoints friends you have trained as leaders over you? Won’t sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in labor?


“I, YHWH, search the heart. I examine the mind, to give every person according to their ways, according to the fruits of their actions.”


House of David, YHWH says, ‘Y’all must administer justice every morning, and deliver the person who has been robbed from the hand of the oppressor, or else my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the their evil deeds.


As for the prophet, the priest, and the people, who say, ‘This message is from YHWH,’ I will even punish them and their household.


When YHWH could no longer endure y’all’s disastrous deeds and the abominations that y’all have committed, your* land became a desolation, an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is today.


“Shouldn’t I punish for these things?” says YHWH. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
