No shrub of the field was yet in the land, and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for YHWH God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no human to cultivate the ground.


God said to Noah, “I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Watch, I will destroy them and the earth.


I will bring the flood of waters on this earth to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.


YHWH said, “My Spirit will not strive with humans forever, because they are flesh; so their days will be one hundred twenty years.”


YHWH said, “I will destroy humanity whom I have created from the surface of the ground—humans, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky—for I am sorry that I have made them.”


After the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth.
