He brought him all these, and divided them in the middle, and laid each half opposite the other; but he didn’t divide the birds.


Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.


Then YHWH’s fire fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust; and it licked up the water that was in the trench.


David built an altar to YHWH there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on YHWH; and he answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.


All of Mount Sinai smoked, because YHWH descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.


All the people saw the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.


For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.

But YHWH has selected y’all, and brought y’all out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be a people of ʜɪꜱ inheritance, as it is today.


For when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, the Angel of YHWH ascended in the flame of the altar. Manoah and his wife watched; and they fell on their faces to the ground.


Then the Angel of YHWH stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes. Fire came up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then the Angel of YHWH departed out of his sight.
