If ʜᴇ passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose ʜɪᴍ?


The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.


But he who comes against him will do according to his own will, and no one will stand before him. He will stand in the glorious land, and destruction will be in his hand.


I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward. No animals could stand before him. There wasn’t any who could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.


Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.


Who can stand before ʜɪꜱ indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? Hɪꜱ wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by ʜɪᴍ.


They went up by the South, and came to Hebron; and Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)


However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover, we saw the children of Anak there.


There we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim. We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”


Where can we go? Our brothers have made our heart melt, saying, ‘The people are greater and taller than we are. The cities are great and fortified up to the sky. We have even seen the sons of the Anakim there!’”


a great people, many, and tall, like the Anakim. But YHWH destroyed them before Ammonites, who succeeded them and lived in their place.


Hᴇ will deliver their kings into your hand, and you are to make their name vanish from under the sky. No one will be able to stand before you until you have destroyed them.


Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.


There were none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel. Only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.


Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
