He gave a sign the same day, saying, “This is the sign which YHWH has spoken: The altar will be split apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.”


“Whoever lies with an animal must be executed-executed.


The magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as YHWH had spoken.


See how I am against those who prophesy lying dreams,” says YHWH, “who tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting; yet I didn’t send them or command them. They don’t profit this people at all,” says YHWH.


But y’all, shouldn’t listen to your* prophets, your* diviners, your* dreamers, your* soothsayers, or your* sorcerers, who tell y’all, “Y’all do not need to serve the king of Babylon.”


As for prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that YHWH has truly sent him.”


For the household gods have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.


For false Christs and false prophets will appear, and they will perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.


certain wicked fellows have gone out from among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods,” which y’all have not known,


If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your ancestors;


But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet must die.”


When a prophet speaks in the name of YHWH, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which YHWH has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You are not to be afraid of him.
