Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he was offering the sacrifices. The conspiracy was strong, for the people increased continually with Absalom.


Someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said, “YHWH, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”


They will put y’all out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills y’all will think they are offering service to God.


When morning came, some of the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath, saying that they would not eat or drink until they had killed Paul.


They went to the chief priests and the elders and said, “We have bound ourselves under a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul.
