The look of their faces testify against them. They parade their sin like Sodom. They don’t hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves.

It will be like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.


Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.


When morning came, some of the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath, saying that they would not eat or drink until they had killed Paul.


There were more than forty people who had formed this conspiracy.


He said, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the Council tomorrow, as though they intended to ask for more accurate information about him.


Don’t be persuaded by them, because more than forty men are waiting to ambush him. They have bound themselves by an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, waiting for your consent.”
