In that day YHWH made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:


Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.


In that day that YHWH will thresh grain from the flowing Euphrates to the brook of Egypt, and y’all will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.


Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.


“The swift cannot flee away, and the strongest cannot escape. In the north by the river Euphrates they have stumbled and fallen.


“Son of humanity, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Look, it has not been bound up to apply medicines or put on a bandage to bind it, that it may become strong to hold the sword.


Therefore this is what Lord YHWH says: ‘Look! I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken. I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.


The border will turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and it will end at the sea.


and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the brook of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This is y’all’s southern border.
