She looked and there was the king stood by the pillar, as the tradition was, with the captains and the trumpets by the king. All the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, “Treason! Treason!”


Jehoiada made a covenant between YHWH and the king and the people, that they should be YHWH’s people; also between the king and the people.


All Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found by them. Then YHWH gave them rest all around.


She looked, and there was the king, standing by his pillar at the entrance, with the captains and the trumpeters by the king. All the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets. The singers also played musical instruments, and led the singing of praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, “Treason! treason!”


Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, all the people, and the king, that they should be YHWH’s people.


Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with YHWH, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.


Now therefore let’s make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives and those who are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God. Let it be done according to the law.


Now those who sealed were: Nehemiah the governor, the son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,


Also I shook out my lap, and said, “So may God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, that doesn’t perform this promise; even may he be shaken out and emptied like this.” All the assembly said, “Amen,” and praised YHWH. The people did according to this promise.


Yet for all this, we make a sure covenant, and write it, and our leaders, our Levites, and our priests, seal it.”


Moses came and told the people all YHWH’s words, and all the ordinances, and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “Every word that YHWH has spoken will we do.”


I say, “Keep the king’s command!” because of the oath to God.


Recently, y’all repented and did what is right in my eyes, in every person proclaiming liberty to their neighbor. Y’all had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name,


The word came to Jeremiah from YHWH, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were at Jerusalem, to proclaim freedom to them,


and you will swear, ‘As YHWH lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness. The nations will bless themselves in him, and they will glory in him.”


They will inquire concerning Zion with their faces turned toward it, saying, ‘Y’all must come and join with YHWH in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.’


Now, Israel, what does YHWH your God require of you, but to fear YHWH your God, to walk in all ʜɪꜱ ways, to love ʜɪᴍ, and to serve YHWH your God with all your heart and with all your soul,


If y’all will listen-listen to my commandments that I am commanding y’all today, to love YHWH y’all’s God, and to serve him with all y’all’s heart and with all y’all’s soul,


Y’all must follow YHWH your* God, fear ʜɪᴍ, keep ʜɪꜱ commandments, and obey ʜɪꜱ voice. Y’all are to serve ʜɪᴍ and cling to ʜɪᴍ.


These are the words of the covenant which YHWH commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.


These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances which Moses spoke to the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt,


Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which YHWH your* God commanded me to teach y’all, so that y’all would do them in the land that y’all go over to possess,


You are to love YHWH your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.


If you forget-forget YHWH your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against y’all today that y’all will perish-perish.


to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s.


Now may the God of peace, who with the blood of the eternal covenant brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus,
