Rabshakeh said to them, “Y’all tell to Hezekiah, ‘This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says, “What is this confidence that you are trusting?


“Y’all are to tell Hezekiah king of Judah this: ‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.


There was no king like him before him, who turned to YHWH with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; and there was none like him who arose after him.


Asa cried to YHWH his God, and said, “YHWH, there is no one besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength. Help us, YHWH our God; for we rely on you, and in your name are we come against this multitude. YHWH, you are our God. Don’t let man prevail against you.”


They rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Y’all listen to me, Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem! Establish your trust in YHWH y’all’s God and y’all will be established! Establish your trust in ʜɪꜱ prophets, and y’all will succeed.”


After this, Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel. The same did very wickedly.


Even if ʜᴇ will kill me, I will hope in ʜɪᴍ. Surely, I will defend my ways before him.


But I trust in your lovingkindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation.


YHWH Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.


But if you tell me, ‘We trust in YHWH our God,’ isn’t that ʜᴇ whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has remove, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, ‘Y’all must worship before this altar?’”


and said, “Please YHWH, remember how I have walked before you in truth and with a whole heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.


He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if ʜᴇ delights in him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”


to the end that we who first put our hope in Christ would be to the praise of ʜɪꜱ glory.
