16 He said to him, “YHWH says, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will die-die.’”

Micaiah said, “If you return-return in peace, YHWH has not spoken by me.” Then he said, “All people, y’all must listen!”


They said to him, “A man came up to meet us, and said to us, ‘Y’all go return to the king who sent y’all and tell him, “YHWH says, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending men to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will die-die.’”’”


In those days Hezekiah was sick and dying. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “YHWH says, ‘Set your house in order, because you will die and not live.’”


So Gehazi followed after Naaman. When Naaman saw one running after him, he came down from the chariot to meet him, and said, “Is all well?”


Elisha said to him, “Go, tell him, ‘You will recover-recover,’ however YHWH has shown me that he will die-die.”


The king said to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go meet the man of God, and inquire of YHWH by him, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’”


“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;


He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.


Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘Lord YHWH says: “Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I YHWH will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
