Elijah said, “As YHWH Almighty lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”

But the Angel of YHWH said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Get up and go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and tell them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that y’all are going to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron?


YHWH is my light and my salvation, so whom should I fear? YHWH is the strength of my life, whom should I be afraid?


“I, even I, am ʜᴇ who comforts y’all. Who are you, that you are afraid of humans who will die, and of the child of humanity who will be made as grass?


“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.


I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says YHWH.


You, son of humanity, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.


Don’t y’all be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, y’all should fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s wrath. He persevered, because he saw the invisible one.
