The king said to Zadok, “Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in YHWH’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it and his habitation;


When David was living in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet, “Look! I live in a cedar house, but the ark of YHWH’s covenant is in a tent.”


God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger burn against the sheep of your pasture?


Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it from your chest and consume them!


YHWH says, “Where is the bill of your mother’s divorce certificate that I used to put her away? To which of my creditors have I sold y’all? Look, y’all were sold for your* iniquities, and your* mother was put away for y’all’s transgressions.


‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and you haven’t seen it? Why have we humbled our soul, and you don’t notice?’ “Look, on the day when y’all fast, y’all find pleasure, and oppress all y’all’s laborers.


Indeed, YHWH’s hand is not so short that it can’t save; nor his ear so dull, that it can’t hear.


But y’all’s iniquities have separated y’all from your* God, and y’all’s sins have hidden ʜɪꜱ face from y’all, so that ʜᴇ will not hear.


When y’all increase in number and bear fruit in the land in those days,” says YHWH, “they will no longer say, ‘the ark of YHWH’s covenant!’ It will not come to mind. They won’t remember it. They won’t miss it, nor will another be made.


Y’all must not trust in words of deceptive and say, ‘This is the temple of YHWH, the temple of YHWH, the temple of YHWH.’


They set forward from the Mount of YHWH three days’ journey. The ark of YHWH’s covenant went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

Now I want to remind y’all–even though y’all already know it–that after the Lord saved a people out of the land of Egypt, he later destroyed those who didn’t believe.
