¶ And fear ye not them which kill the body, and be not able to kill the soul. But rather fear him, which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


¶ Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake:


Blessed are ye when men hate you, and thrust you out of their company, and rail on you, and abhor your name, as an evil thing, for the son of man's sake.


Nevertheless among the chief rulers many believed on him, but because of the pharises they would not be a known of it, lest they should be excommunicated.


¶ These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs. The time will come when I shall no more speak to you in proverbs: but I shall shew you plainly from my father.


Behold the hour draweth nye, and is already come, that ye shall be scattered every man his ways, and shall leave me alone. And yet am I not alone. For my father is with me.


Iesus said unto her: woman trust me, The hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Ierusalem, worship the father.


But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit, and in verity. For verily such the father requireth to worship him.


Such words spake his father, and mother, because they feared the jewes, for the jewes had conspired already that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be excommunicate out of the Synagogue.


They answered and said unto him: thou art altogether born in sin: and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.


When they heard that they clave asunder, and sought means to slay them.


and said: lo, I see the heavens open, and the son of man stand on the right hand of God.


We are evil spoken of, and we pray. We are made as it were the filthiness of the world, the offscouring of all things, even unto this time.


and as concerning ferventness I persecuted the congregation, and as touching the righteousness which is in the law I was such a one as no man could complain on.


¶ And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar, the souls of them that were killed for the word of God, and for the testimony which they had,
