Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.


But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the prominent men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their region.


But when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some other brothers to the city officials, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also,


But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rose up with one accord against Paul and brought him before the judgment seat,


But Saul was ravaging the church. Entering house after house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.


What! Do you not have houses for eating and drinking? Or do you despise the church of God and put to shame those who do not have anything? What should I say to you? Should I praise you for this? I do not praise you.


If you pay attention to the man who is wearing fine clothing and say to him, “Yoʋ sit here in a good place,” but you say to the poor man, “Yoʋ stand there, or sit here under my footstool,”


Behold, the wages of the workers who harvested your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.


You have condemned and murdered the righteous man; he does not resist you.
