And blessed is anyone who does not take offense at me.”


When they came to Jesus, they earnestly pleaded with him, saying, “This man is worthy to have yoʋ do this for him,


Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead. But yoʋ go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”


When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. (They also had John as their assistant.)


On the Sabbath day we went outside the city to a riverside, where it was customary for there to be prayer. We sat down and began speaking to the women who had gathered together.


On the first day of the week, as the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul addressed them, intending to depart the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight.


When we came into Rome, the centurion transferred the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him.


And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who preach good news of good things!”


Rejoice in hope, persevere in tribulation, and persist in prayer.


Now the one who is instructed in the word must share all good things with the one who instructs him.


I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,


At the same time pray for us as well, that God may open a door to us for the word so that we may speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.


And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you received the word in much affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit.


And we urge you, brothers, to admonish those who are idle, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, and be patient toward all.


Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, and to teaching.


As for those who sin, reprove them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.


Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master, and prepared for every good work.


instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,


Yoʋ, however, have closely followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, and endurance.


This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they may become sound in the faith,


Declare these things; encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise yoʋ.


Now I urge you, brothers, to bear with this brief word of exhortation that I have written to you.


Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent.
